Who We are and Our Philosophy!

 
We are a local business located along the Picturesque Rio Grande Valley about 10 miles north of Espanola, New Mexico.  We have been in the media business in one form or another for about 20 years. We started out as a Bookstore Coffee Shop and with the advent of the Internet we became a Book Store Internet Coffee Shop/Internet Service Provider.  With a growing family, the children asked us to spend more time at home, so we sold the physical business and moved online. Horse Tail Trails is part of that business transition.

Having any kind of business is tough and getting it established online can be just as hard. We know from experience that putting yourself on the Web can be a frustrating endeavor, if not down-right impossible. That’s why we created Horse Tail Trails. Many don’t need a full blown website, but do need a web presence. Others want their own website, but need some help. We are here to help provide both.  As part of our free service, we can provide you a place to list your business with some pertinent information or we can help you set up a website with all the bells and whistles.

We can build you a custom website, but prefer to set up a Content Management (CM) site called Joomla.  The nice thing about CM is once you learn how to use Joomla, you’re in charge of your own Website. Joomla is a software package that runs from your server, allowing you to update material quickly. It does have a learning curve, but in the long run, you are in charge. Timely updates and the cost of having some one else in charge of your website are the biggest complaints we hear form those who have websites. Once you learn how to use Joomla, you’re the boss.

We will set up your website teach you how to use Joomla and then turn everything over to you. If you have a problem, we can help you.  If you don’t want to maintain you own site, we will do that for you. The nice thing about CM is that it cuts down the time required to make adjustments to your site, thereby reducing cost.
